Troubleshooting: Instructions to follow
If your system does not meet the requirements, you should try upgrading some of the applications and/or hardware.
More troubleshooting advice:
For FLASH based platforms:
- Try downloading the latest version of macromedia flash player, schockwave player or authorware player.
- Do not use a popup stopper, it could remove the charts
- On your browser menu bar click on: 'Tools', 'Internet Options…' and in the 'Temporary Internet Files' sectione click on the button 'Delete Files…'
- Download internet explorer 6 or later version internet explorer
- Check with your internet provider if you have periodic interruptions with your connection.
- Both our website and platform are best viewed with the following screen resolution: 1024 x 768
- On most computers upon booting, many applications are loaded like anti-virus applications and other software. On a slow system this can create problems because these applications take up a lot of memory. To liberate memory, deactivate any superfluous applications by clicking on your toolbar and closing them. You can also press Ctrl-Alt-Delete simultaneously and deactivate them from there.
- When the WYCIWYG demo and/or live are running in your browser you should try and keep only that window open avoid opening any additional browsers as this can also be a memory drain.
- For optimal performance, please use the "Logout" function when exiting WYCIWYG.
- We recommend that you Logout from WYCIWYG every 4 to 6 hours to avoid cash memory overload. Please use the "Logout" function to leave the platform, close your browser, then re-open your browser and login again.

For JAVA based platforms:
1. Attempt to download the latest version JAVA plugin.
2. Delete files from within “internet options” in the “tools-box”.
3. Download internet explorer version 6.0 or later version internet explorer.
4. Verify your internet connection.
5. The visibility will be improved with a 1280 x 1024 screen resolution.
6. Most operating systems run’s embedded firewalls and security features which may interfere with the proper display of some aspects of the platform as these added features utilize large amounts of memory, we recommend that you close all unnecessary applications from the toolbar, or by pressing “ctrl/alt/del” and closing these applications from the window which opens.
7. Installation of the new JAVA platform:
- If problems arise with the running of JAVA web start, you should eliminate java.exe and javaws.exe.via form task-management.
- If the problems persist try rebooting your PC.
- If this doesn’t work, try de-installing and re-installing the program.
- You may also clear the Java Web Start cache within the File menu /preferences/advanced/clear folder from the Java Web Start application and re-install the program from ACM’s website.
- If this hasn’t solved the problem go to C:\Documents and settings\administrator\application data\sun\java\deployment\ and delete the application specific files.
- The next step would be to de-install and re-install JRE.
- In case you experience problems with the trading platform upon start up, please empty the Internet browser cache and attempt to re-login. Should the login fail again, SSL cache must be emptied prior to platform start up (this may arise due invalid security certificates).
